The issue of CCL seems to be a minefield. I have a licence which was granted before I started as the Bursar but there is no guidance on how it should be used. I haveonly kept paying the fee for one because we are required to have one if we refer people to a monthly credit scheme operated by a 3rd party (formerly called Holmwoods). At one regional meeting the ISBA was advising we need one to comply with regs then, at the next meeting, advising anyone with one to get rid of it as there was soon to be a bit of a purge on people who had a licence! Parents want flexible methods of payment and paying monthly in installments is often their best method of payment if they receive tehir income monthly.
